This is an amazing kitchen tool. I have used it mainly for chopping bell peppers, onions and others veggies. Amazingly quick and easy to clean up. Love it.

  • I am so irritated right now. I’ll bet this is a wonderful product but mine was defective out of the box. The hand motor wouldn’t properly attach to the attachments rendering it utterly useless. I am so, so disappointed. I don’t know if I need to purchase a new hand motor or if I need new attachments. Very disappointed. Cuisinart is a good name in kitchen aids and I have a few other products made by them but this is the first time I bought a product EVER by any company that didn’t work at all out of the box. What a waste of money!

  • Wish I’d paid attention to the review that said it was a large stick. The unit is too large and too heavy for me. On first use, the blade attachment wobbles. Doesn’t feel safe to say the least. I also don’t like rechargable after using it. Most of the time when I want to use a stick, it’s impromptu and having to either have it plugged in all the time or wait a few minutes for it to charge is useless. I definitely have buyer’s remorse on this one.

  • I use a hand blender every day to mix protein shakes; this cordless model has only one setting and has less power than the KitchenAid corded model on the lowest setting. Still the Cuisinart seems fine for the task of mixing liquids, but I would not expect it to be any good at chopping foods. I’m a bit concerned if the battery wears down over time if it will be up to the task even when fully charged.

Also not ergonomic at all. If you have small hands BEWARE as the grip is very big. The power switch is on the very top and you must continuously hold it down (for safety, I guess.)

Of course it is handy to not have the cord.

  • I have an earlier version of this cordless immersion blender. I loved the idea of a cordless model, but I found some big drawbacks. On a full charge, the battery would run out of juice after about 5 minutes. So if you want to puree several batches of food at once, you’re out of luck until you wait for the battery to charge.

After about a year, my battery no longer held a charge while the unit was in storage. Now I have to plan ahead and plug in my blender the day before I want to use it. (It takes a long time to recharge the battery.)

Hopefully these battery issues have been remedied in the newer version, but it’s something to keep in mind. I’m buying another immersion blender with a cord and junking this one.

  • Braun Hand Blender 600 Watt Variable Speed
I have had various Braun blenders in the past and am looking for a 220 volt Braun as I move overseas. Unfortunately, this listing gives no information except 600 watts and the price. Surely the seller doesn’t expect people to buy an unknown product at this price!

I love the Mixing cup, wisk and food processor; however, the plastic base of the blender attachment has several hairline cracks in it after only one use and the shaft is falling out of the base.

After about 4 months of use the plastic collar that locks onto the blade attachment was sheared away. Motor still runs fine but the blade won’t turn anymore.

So far, I like this blender. It is very easy to use and to clean. Today, I made two smoothies with one banana, one apple, three small oranges and a little apple juice. The fruit was cut into chunks/quartered. After the fruit was blended, it was more like a puree which is what I expected. That is why I added a little apple juice.

The beaker has measurements along the side, which is nice but the numbers are hard to read. Apparently, you cannot buy the other attachments for this version of the blender. I did not know that because now that I have it, I would like to purchase the whisk attachment. It seems odd to me that a company would develop something like this but not so that customers could buy the additional attachments.

Added Note: I’ve used the blender a couple more times. Because of the shape of the blender attachment, it can stand alone in the mixture. I was able to stand the blender in the beaker, while I stepped away to get other ingredients. That was helpful.

This has the usual KitchenAid high quality we’ve come to expect. Sure, the specs were given, but without getting out a ruler or tape measure I wasn’t able to correctly picture the size of this mixer in my mind. It is quite large, especially when compared to the Braun I was replacing, making the KitcheAide a bit large and “unwieldy” to use. It surely does the job, and the variable speeds are great. It’s a fine product!
