This immersion blender was returned, for NO fault …

This immersion blender was returned, for NO fault of the blender, it just wasn’t what I wanted. I purchased a Bamix, which was like one I’d had years ago. However, I find that Kitchen Aid appliances are good products in general.

  • This is really a good product. Powerful motor, churns through almost anything and the variable speeds are a necessity. You’ll see some cheaper ones with a single or couple of speeds. I would reccommend against those.

One caution, if you do order from Amazon, do so with the expectation that something will go wrong. I think they may be getting so big that they can’t manage it.

We ordered two things for Christmas, both went to the wrong address. This particular product went to a household on the other side of town. They had the right name but the wrong address on the package. The recepient was kind enough to look me up in the phone book and call me to tell me that I had a package at his house. Where Amazon got that address I’ll never know. Amazon customer service (aka opium den in Calcutta) assured me that it was my fault and that in 28 days if I hadn’t recieved my package, that I could apply for a credit. I couldn’t explain to them how that was going to be hard to put a bow on.

My niece has a similar issue. She lives in CA and ordered something big that she didn’t want to try to take on the airline, so she asked that it be shipped to her parent’s house for Christmas. Of course, it came to her house, Amazon said, ‘Tough nuggies”, she paid FedEx to ship it to her parent’s house.

In summary, I can sure reccommend the product but not the seller.

  • I love this item. I have only used it twice to make creamy soups and it make the job so easy.

  • I lost everything in a flood and thought I was being thrifty by buying this item to replace an immersion blender and a mixer.

The flimsy beater takes forever to beat egg whites; does poorly on cakes; and is one of the few ripoffs I have encountered while shopping Amazon for years.

Unfortunately, I didn’t try the whip function sooner, so I’m out $83. for a piece of junk.

  • I normally am not critical with products but I had an accident with this immersion blender. Something got stuck in the top near the blade, I went to pull it out, and the way you hold it, I accidentally hit the button and severely cut up my finger. 11 stitches and I also chipped my bone. Apparently others have did the same thing when i googled it.

Yes it was a stupid mistake on my part, leaving it plugged in, but i am writing this to let customers aware. Be very careful your children do not get a hold of this, the blades are close and really sharp. and the button is extremely easy to trigger!

Definitely works better with milkshakes then the cupcake batter I was working on.

  • Braun Hand Blender 600 Watt Variable Speed
I have had various Braun blenders in the past and am looking for a 220 volt Braun as I move overseas. Unfortunately, this listing gives no information except 600 watts and the price. Surely the seller doesn’t expect people to buy an unknown product at this price!

I love the Mixing cup, wisk and food processor; however, the plastic base of the blender attachment has several hairline cracks in it after only one use and the shaft is falling out of the base.

After about 4 months of use the plastic collar that locks onto the blade attachment was sheared away. Motor still runs fine but the blade won’t turn anymore.

So far, I like this blender. It is very easy to use and to clean. Today, I made two smoothies with one banana, one apple, three small oranges and a little apple juice. The fruit was cut into chunks/quartered. After the fruit was blended, it was more like a puree which is what I expected. That is why I added a little apple juice.

The beaker has measurements along the side, which is nice but the numbers are hard to read. Apparently, you cannot buy the other attachments for this version of the blender. I did not know that because now that I have it, I would like to purchase the whisk attachment. It seems odd to me that a company would develop something like this but not so that customers could buy the additional attachments.

Added Note: I’ve used the blender a couple more times. Because of the shape of the blender attachment, it can stand alone in the mixture. I was able to stand the blender in the beaker, while I stepped away to get other ingredients. That was helpful.

This has the usual KitchenAid high quality we’ve come to expect. Sure, the specs were given, but without getting out a ruler or tape measure I wasn’t able to correctly picture the size of this mixer in my mind. It is quite large, especially when compared to the Braun I was replacing, making the KitcheAide a bit large and “unwieldy” to use. It surely does the job, and the variable speeds are great. It’s a fine product!
